A few more controversies that popped up included the accusation that Paula Abdul one of the judges was personally training the contestant to win the show in return for personal favors. But the show must go on and that accusation came to an end
The show however has ensured that people are interested and do log in regularly to check for updates about their favorite singers and songsters. At present the show is at a all time high.
A few popular singes like Sanjaya were totally disparaged by the judges as he was not at all good. But he still managed to get through into several rounds as he was voted and saved regularly.
There are several contestants that have ensured a place for them in the show history. There was a legendary feud between the presenter Ryan Seacrest and judge Simon Cowell. Both used to spat quite regularly all through the show. Then it was followed by several accusations on the host about favoritism. One contestant accused the judge Paula Abdul as playing favorites. She was accused ot training the contestant with a personal motive. Although the accusation was not proved , the much raking by the media continued for several months.
At present the singer Alexis has been voted off the show due to public voting. Even though the judges could keep her in the show they chose to let their voting privilege go. Simon announced that they would not be using their judge's privilege to retain the talented singer.
